Education is the backbone on which the Saudi national identity is based. Thus, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sought to evolve education through a comprehensive curricula development project. The Kingdom's National Vision 2030 states that positive values can be rooted and reinforced in people only through the development of the educational system in all its levels. This study seeks to present a new dimension highlighting on the social studies courses of the Intermediate school in Saudi Arabia and indicating to what extent the development of these courses has contributed to promote awareness of the concept of national identity among Saudi young people at the level of strategic objectives, content, activities and evaluation methods. On the other hand, the active presence of the National Vision and its programs is also involved in these decisions as a factor in designing the national identity and in drawing a road map towards a prosperous future for Saudi Arabia generations.
