Social competence and its relationship to
self-vitality among hearing-impaired students
The current study aimed to identify the relationship between social competence and self-vitality of the hearing-impaired students, and the study sample consisted of (55) children with hearing-impaired students, who were selected from the special education centers located in Menoufia Governorate. The study tools included a measure of social efficiency and a measure of self-vitality, and the results showed that there is a positive statistically significant correlation between social efficiency and self-vitality among the hearing-impaired students. Social competence and their scores in the subjective vitality scale. The subjective vitality of the study sample can be predicted through social competence. To verify the validity of this hypothesis, the researcher used Multiple Regression Analysis to find out the significance of the predictive equation for social efficiency in predicting the subjective vitality of the study sample. Social efficiency increases subjective vitality, and conversely, whenever social efficiency decreases, subjective vitality decreases.
