ABSTRACT:
This study aimed to assess the Islamic studies course among the sixth primary stage pupils in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the theory of multiple intelligences. The study also revealed the availability of the principles and indicators of multiple intelligences that must be available in the Islamic studies course among the sixth grade of primary school. The study developed a proposed vision for the preferred teaching methods for each type of students, the appropriate educational tools, and the preferred activities in light of the principles and indicators of multiple intelligences. The research used the descriptive analytical method. The research sample was the Islamic studies book for the sixth grade of primary school scheduled in government schools during the academic year 1443/2021 AD. The researcher developed a list of the most important principles and indicators of the theory of multiple intelligences that must be available for the sixth-grade Islamic studies course. The results of the research revealed that the Department of Monotheism (Tawheed), Hadith and Biography (Sira) came in the last rank (lack of availability), where the means reached (1.36 and 1.46), while the Department of Jurisprudence (Fikh) and Biography (Sira) came in the first rank and got a general means of (1.54) with a medium degree in relation to the degree of availability, which means that each departments need to be re-planned according to these findings. The study developed a suggested proposal for the preferred teaching methods for each type of students, the appropriate educational instruments for them, and the preferred activities in light of the principles and indicators of multiple intelligences.
