The current study aimed to identify the reality of educational supervision in the following dimensions (participation in preparation and planning for drawing up educational policies, participation in the implementation of decisions, follow-up and evaluation of the implementation of policies) in the Asir region, and to identify the challenges that hinder the participation of educational supervisors in participating in the formulation of educational policies. The study community consists of educational supervisors in the following offices (Abha Education Office - Khamis Mushait Education Office - Uhud Rafaida Education Office - educational supervisors in the Asir Education Department) In the Asir region, the sample size was 210 individuals, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for this study, and the results resulted in: that the participation of educational supervisors in preparing and planning for the formulation of educational policies in the Asir region was high, and that the participation of educational supervisors in the follow-up and evaluation of the implementation of educational policies in the Asir region was high, and that the participation of educational supervisors in formulating educational policies in the Asir region faces a number of challenges, including the centralization of The decision, weak communication with higher authorities, as well as the presence of administrative patterns in the work environment that hinder participation, in addition to weak cooperation between colleagues in the work environment, and the absence of a guiding role in the importance of participation in the formulation of educational policy, as well as the absence of follow-up by senior leaders for supervisors to play their role In formulating educational policies, the absence of incentives, whether material or moral, is one of the main challenges that hinder the participation of supervisors in formulating educational policies.
