The aim of this research was to identify the relative contribution of the working memory in order to predict the mental calculation abilities among students with mathematics learning difficulties. The sample consisted of 90 male and female students who were assessed using the Learning Disabilities Diagnosis Scale (Abdel Aal, 2012), the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (El-Bahiri, 2017), the Mental Calculation Scale (El-Bablawi et al., 2020), and the Working Memory Scale (developed by the researcher). The results indicated that the level of mental calculation abilities among students with mathematics learning difficulties was average. There was a positive correlation between mental calculation abilities and working memory in students with mathematics learning difficulties. Furthermore, it was possible to predict the mental calculation abilities in students with mathematics learning difficulties through their working memory. There were no gender differences in the mental calculation abilities of students with mathematics learning difficulties. The results were discussed, and recommendations for future research were proposed
