The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of security culture in enhancing societal security in the State of Kuwait, by measuring the impact of the culture of national affiliation, the culture of regulations and laws, and the culture of human rights in enhancing societal security in the State of Kuwait. The study followed the descriptive analytical method due to its suitability to the nature of the current study, answering its questions, and testing its hypotheses.
A questionnaire was prepared with the aim of measuring the impact of security culture in enhancing societal security in the State of Kuwait. It consisted of (15) paragraphs distributed over three dimensions: the culture of national affiliation, the culture of regulations and laws, and the culture of human rights. The questionnaire was distributed to the study sample of (50) individuals working in the General Administration of Security Relations and Media in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior.
The results of the study showed the presence of a statistically significant impact of the culture of national affiliation in enhancing societal security in the State of Kuwait. The results of the study also showed the presence of a statistically significant impact of the culture of regulations and laws in enhancing societal security in the State of Kuwait, while the results of the study did not show a statistically significant impact of the culture of human rights in enhancing societal security in the State of Kuwait.
The study recommended the necessity of concerted efforts of all institutions related to societal security in the State of Kuwait to work on building a security culture among the various groups of people, and to include in school curricula from the first school stages the concepts of human rights, and the various dimensions and elements associated with this concept. The study also recommended the necessity of effective and integrated coordination between the family and state institutions to spread a security culture that enhances the values related to societal security.
