This study explored the potential of research projects as a catalyst for advancing interdisciplinary research in the educational domain. Utilizing a descriptive methodology, the research comprised a comprehensive framework encompassing an introduction, problem statement, research questions, objectives, significance, methodology, and previous studies. The study was structured around three core dimensions. The first dimension outlined the theoretical underpinnings of research projects, emphasizing leadership, confidence, communication, and research project structure as pivotal components. The second dimension delved into the conceptual framework of interdisciplinary research, drawing from educational literature and prior studies. The third dimension elucidated how research projects could serve as a cornerstone to bolster interdisciplinary research in the educational field. The study concluded with key findings, recommendations, and proposals. Among the salient findings were that research projects could be harnessed to amplify interdisciplinary research by activating essential building blocks, such as leadership, confidence, and effective communication, while also adhering to quality standards and indicators for research projects. Moreover, it underscored the significance of fulfilling the prerequisites for attaining research excellence in interdisciplinary research through research projects and the ethical responsibilities that should be maintained. The study's insights contributed to enriching the educational research landscape, fostering stronger interdisciplinary research partnerships.
