This research talks about social and financial solidarity in Islam, by reviewing some of the prophetic hadiths in which the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, established this great principle. This research consists of an introduction, three main sections, and a conclusion. In the first section, I spoke about the virtues of this law in its perfection and balance, as Social affairs were given special attention, and they did not neglect this important aspect of people’s lives. I quoted testimonies from some fair-minded non-Muslims who were impressed by the perfection of this law and its balance in this matter. In the second section, I spoke about the meaning and concept of social solidarity and that it prevailed in use over what is related to financial aspects. As for the third section, I reviewed the most prominent aspects of financial social solidarity that came in the Prophet’s Sunnah, including zakat on money, sponsoring an orphan, standing with the afflicted, seeking the widow and the needy, looking after the needy, and cooperating with needy neighbors, and other aspects of financial social solidarity that were mentioned in the Prophet’s Sunnah. The research concluded with a set of results and recommendations. May God grant us success and help.
