This study aimed to identify the current use of artificial intelligence in decision-making in Saudi universities. The researcher utilized the descriptive survey method and employed a questionnaire to gather data from university leaders in Saudi universities, including Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, King Khalid University, and Hafar Al-Batin University, with a sample size of 35 leaders selected through simple random sampling. The study found that university leaders highly approve of the use of artificial intelligence in decision-making. However, it also revealed that there is a high level of agreement among the study sample regarding the obstacles to the use of artificial intelligence in decision-making in Saudi universities, particularly the high financial costs of AI applications and concerns about potential cyber-attacks and breaches.
