This research is concerned with the semiotics of textual thresholds, or what critics call the "parallel text." It has received great attention and has occupied many critical studies recently, in an attempt to explore the functions performed by these accompanying texts, as they have created a special world for themselves that has contributed to understanding and reading the literary text. Given the importance of these thresholds and the connotations they reveal that contribute to enriching the content for the recipient, they are the bridge between him and the text. They are semiotic signs that provide different connotations and functions at the level of the text.
