Digital environments have penetrated the lives of young people worldwide, and geographers have discussed the emergence of a global population of youth born in the digital age, growing up using information and communication technologies (ICT) in their daily lives. This group of digitally connected youth is often referred to as Digital Natives.
So far, no one has yet determined the total number of digital natives, particularly in the developing world. This has left some key questions unanswered:
What is the size of this demographic group?
How are they geographically distributed in terms of economic development levels?
What about these youth, their networks, education, policies, and other broader issues?
Therefore, this research presents a first attempt to measure the number of digital natives in the city of Damanhur.
