The study aimed to derive selected educational principles from the verses of Surah Al-Fatiha. To achieve this objective, the deductive method was employed. The study comprised a general framework that included the introduction, research problem, questions, objectives, significance, methodology, and a review of relevant literature with commentary. It was organized into two main sections: the first addressed the concept of deduction from Qur’anic verses, outlining its primary guidelines and procedural steps; the second examined the meanings of the verses of Surah Al-Fatiha and the educational principles that were deduced from them. Among the most significant principles identified were: initiating actions with the Basmala; the importance of supplication; expressing praise and gratitude for Allah’s blessings; employing both encouragement and deterrence; introducing the Most Beautiful Names and Attributes of Allah; promoting mercy; maintaining a positive outlook regarding Allah’s mercy while avoiding despair; adhering to divine legislation in all aspects of life; the concept of recompense being proportional to one’s deeds; worship and reliance upon Allah; healing of both spiritual and physical ailments; sincerity in devotion to Allah; aspiring toward noble goals through worship and adherence to the Islamic path; seeking divine guidance; following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); recognizing the variation among people in their response to truth, as represented by the three groups mentioned in the Surah (those favored by Allah, those who incurred His wrath, and those who went astray); attributing grace and favor solely to Allah without attributing misguidance to Him; and creating interest and attentiveness when presenting important matters to the learner.
