The study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a training program based on the use of phonological awareness skills to treat written spelling errors among students with specific learning disorders in the basic stage. To achieve the goal, the quasi-experimental approach with one group was used on a deliberate sample, which is students with specific learning disorders enrolled in the resource rooms at Wadi Sultan Mixed Basic School, and their number was (10) of both sexes. They were selected from the second, third, and fourth grades, and the experimental period was four months in 2024 AD. To collect data, the study tools were the educational package for basic Arabic language skills approved by the Special Education Department of the Ministry of Education in Palestine. The researchers used the statistical analysis program (SPSS) for statistical processing., and finding the arithmetic means, standard deviations, and T-test. The results proved the effectiveness of the training program based on the use of phonological awareness skills among students with specific learning disorders in the basic stages, with the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α≥05.0) between the arithmetic means in favor of the post-measurement of the students.Keywords: phonological awareness skills, spelling errors, students with specific learning disorders.
