دور الإعلام العربي الالكتروني (وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي) في كشف جرائم الاحتلال الإسرائيلي خلال الحرب على قطاع غزة (أكتوبر 2023) من وجهة نظر الإعلاميين العاملين في الضفة الغربية

The study aimed to explore the role of Arab electronic media (social media platforms) in exposing the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation during the war on the Gaza Strip (October 2023), from the perspective of media professionals working in the West Bank.
To achieve this objective, the researcher adopted the descriptive methodology and developed a questionnaire, which was distributed to a sample of 145 journalists in the West Bank. After collecting and analyzing the responses, the study reached several key findings, the most important of which are: 81.4% of the journalists reported regular use of social media platforms. The usage rates were comparable between local and international media. The overall role of social media platforms in affirming the Palestinian narrative during the ongoing war on Gaza was rated as high.
Based on these findings, the study presented a number of recommendations, including: The potential of leveraging social media platforms to guide citizens in exposing Israeli occupation crimes during the war on Gaza, given the high usage levels demonstrated by the results. Encouraging citizens to actively engage with and share content related to the war on Gaza through social media to amplify the Palestinian voice.
