The current study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioral counseling program in modifying teachers' attitudes towards the inclusion of children with Down syndrome in kindergarten in the State of Kuwait. The study adopted an experimental design (pre-test/post-test/follow-up) with two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The research sample consisted of 20 kindergarten teachers in the control group and 20 kindergarten teachers in the experimental group. The study utilized the Teachers’ Attitudes Towards the Inclusion of Children with Down Syndrome Scale and the cognitive-behavioral counseling program (developed by the researcher). The study results indicated the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral counseling program in modifying teachers' attitudes towards the inclusion of children with Down syndrome in kindergarten. There were statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test measurements. However, no statistically significant differences were found between the post-test and follow-up measurements for the experimental group on the Teachers’ Attitudes Towards the Inclusion of Children with Down Syndrome Scale. The researcher recommended conducting similar studies to modify teachers' attitudes towards the inclusion of children with other disabilities.
