Abstract

The current research aims to measure the effectiveness of the McCarthy model in acquiring the concepts of subject elements and the foundations of design for students of the Institute of Fine Arts for Boys.
To study this, the researcher determined building instructional plans according to the McCarthy model, to measure the extent of acquiring the concepts of material elements and the foundations of design.
The results of this research showed the following:
The effectiveness of teaching plans according to (McCarthy model) in developing the skill of students of the Design Department - the experimental group Which had a positive effect to get the desired results.
