Abstract

The theater has gone through different circumstances throughout history, each of which affected its different production mechanisms, and the playwrights used these circumstances every time to come up with a theatrical experience. In the year 2020, new experiences were presented in theatrical art due to the outbreak of a deadly epidemic that spread in most countries of the world. Through the multimedia and the Internet, they presented the theater electronically (Online). In light of this, there are many different opinions about presenting theatrical performances through a mediator, where theater loses the advantage of its live practice. But theater, which has struggled with different circumstances since its inception, had to go through this experiment in a new attempt that might succeed or fail, instead of giving up. Especially since the theater was presented in various media before this pandemic, it was presented on radio and television, then entered into commercial popularity and was presented on cinema screens and on video tapes. Also, these circumstances did not impose experimentation on theatrical art only, but experimentation affected many other aspects of life, such as education, which also used various electronic applications. Thus, has it become necessary to search for new means that violate the accepted traditions, not only in art, but in various other aspects of life, or are there well-established rules that should not be abandoned?
