A Suggested Professional Development Program Based on ADDIE Model and its Effectiveness in Developing Reflective Practices and Self-Efficacy among English Female Teachers.

Abstract

The study aimed to build a Suggested Professional Development Program Based on ADDIE Model and to discover its Effectiveness in Developing Reflective Practices and Self-Efficacy among English Female Teachers. The study used Mixed method. For the purposes of the study, an observation tool, a measure of self-efficiency and a qualitative interview were prepared .The sample of the study consisted  of (80)  female English teachers in Qassim Governate , where the Suggested Professional Development program and self-efficiency measure were applied to (80) teachers, while the observation tool was applied on (10) )  female English teachers who attended the program and showed approval for the application of the observation tool.  There were (5) female English teachers who attended the program and agreed to apply the interview tool. After the study tools were completed, the data were collected and analyzed the study found that the Suggested Professional Development Program Based on ADDIE Model has a positive impact on the development of reflective practices in English teachers. In the light of the results of the study, a number of recommendations were made such as: include reflective practices among English teachers' training programs. The Suggested Professional Development Program Based on ADDIE Model in the current study could be adopted as one of the methods of professional development for the training of English teachers, as it showed a positive impact on the development of reflective practices and self-efficacy of female English teachers. Interest in the development of self-efficacy among English teachers as one of a professional method of development. The study also made a number of suggestions such as: further studies of reflective practices in terms of the obstacles and challenges facing English teachers.
