Academic Procrastination and its Relationship to the Goal Orientations to the variables of gender, college and academic year among undergraduate students at Tafila Technical University

This study aimed to reveal the academic procrastination and its relationship to the goal orientations of undergraduate students at Tafila Technical University. The study sample consisted of (779) male and female students, (508) males and (271) females, chosen by the simple random method, and it was used. The researcher’s used the Academic Procrastination Scale developed by Abu Ghazal (2012), and the goal Orientation Scale from the Preparation of al Takhyneh (2009). The results of the study showed that the existence of a positive correlation Weak between academic procrastination and the target orientation of the study sample. and the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences of academic procrastination among the study sample members due to the variables of sex, college and year. And  the results showed, the existence of statistically significant differences in the pattern of mastery goals Performance goals - a move due to the gender variable and in favor of the female. Also, it was also found that there were no statistically significant differences in the pattern of performance goals - reluctance attributed to the gender variable, and the results of the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the target trends of students attributed to the college variable, and the results showed that there are statistically significant differences of target orientations among students is attributed to the variable of the school year and in favor of the students of the first and second years, and there were statistically significant differences in all types of target trends due to the variable of the school year and in favor of the first and second years, The study recommended conducting more studies dealing with academic procrastination and target trends, and linking them with other variables.
