The Level of Cognitive Progress for Students with Intellectual Disability in The Light of Some Educational Techniques: A Descriptive Study of Teachers' Perceptions

Abstract

It is certain, cognitive difficulties of students with intellectual disability hinder their abilities to adapt and integrate fully into society, but they may benefit from some interventions such as cognitive training. This study aims to know cognitive progress for students with intellectual disability in the light of some educational technique such as modeling and repetition. The descriptive research was used through a questionnaire distributed to 130 teachers in the Hail region, and the results indicated cognitive training helps significantly in improving cognitive progress for students with intellectual disability, as the results proved there is a significant increase in cognitive progress using some cognitive methods as modeling and repetition.
