Abstract

The research sought to examine the effectiveness of the training program in improving emotional regulation, as well as its effect on the emotional sensitivity of gifted students with learning disabilities. The study sample was comprised of (40) children with learning difficulties who were gifted in football, and whose ages ranged between 9 years and 12 years, with an average age of 11.5 years. These children were divided into two groups, one of which was experimental, and the other was a control group (each group was 20 children). The researcher developed and standardized the research tools represented in the emotional regulation scale and the emotional sensitivity scale, as well as the training program used for the purpose of the study. The study results showed: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the emotional regulation scale in the post-measurement of the study sample, there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the emotional sensitivity scale with its two dimensions (negative emotional sensitivity - positive emotional sensitivity) in the dimensional measurement of the study sample, There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group on the emotional regulation scale in the post and follow-up measurements of the study sample, and There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group on the emotional sensitivity scale with its two dimensions (negative emotional sensitivity - positive emotional sensitivity) in the post and follow-up measurements of the study sample.
