Abstract

Entrepreneurship is the driving force for economic and social expansion, as universities contribute greatly to promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship and its activities in the country, and therefore developed countries are keen to establish pioneering universities because higher education is an essential element for the progress of countries and the advancement of peoples, and it has become an obligation for administrative and academic leaders in Saudi universities work quickly and effectively to achieve entrepreneurship in line with the global requirements of pioneering universities. Higher education institutions need to evaluate their operational strategies to develop their faculty professionally and foster innovation and transformation to respond to the external forces driving change, all of which require entrepreneurial leaders and effective strategies to achieve this. Although Saudi Vision 2030 focuses on promoting entrepreneurship and establishing many innovation and entrepreneurship centers in Saudi universities that embrace various entrepreneurial activities, it lacks clear strategic plans to transform Saudi universities through professional development of faculty members, especially emerging ones. to leading universities. Furthermore, there is a lack of research on the transition of Saudi universities to entrepreneurship universities. Consequently, there is a need to develop pioneering universities capable of keeping pace with various developments and contributing to the development of the country's economy to achieve this ambitious vision. In addition, benefiting from the experiences of developed countries in the field of entrepreneurship is commensurate with the environment of Saudi universities. Therefore, and in light of this, the current study seeks to discuss and develop a national strategy for the professional development of faculty members in light of the global requirements of pioneering universities. In light of this, the current study aims at a national strategy for the development of faculty members professionally in light of the global requirements of pioneering universities.
