The study aimed to present some proposals that represent viable mechanisms as a prelude to the application of licensing to practice teaching profession in the Egyptian education system by benefiting from modern educational literature and the experiences of Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The study used descriptive and analytical approach in dealing with the current status of the licensing process for practicing teaching profession in Egypt, and the most important efforts made towards starting its application.The study reached a set of proposals that may enhance and facilitate the application of licensing to practice teaching profession, the most important of which are: the need for an independent entity represented in an impartial body responsible for granting the license to work in teaching profession, provided that the authority has the material and human resources to qualify it to assume that responsibility, allocating an annual budget to apply the license to practice the profession in light of some Arab or international experiences, setting the conditions and requirements by the body granting license to practice teaching profession, the need for candidates to meet these conditions and requirements , preparing trainers and arbitrators who grant the license to teaching profession in the Professional Academy for teachers ,preparing annual plans for licensing programs for teaching profession, so that they can be evaluated and adjusted to keep pace with the variables of the era of the knowledge explosion, and continuous evaluation processes for teachers working in the profession to ensure their good functioning and development in line with the accelerated variables.
