Abstract

The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a values-based teaching unit within the Digital Skills curriculum for second-grade intermediate school students, focusing on enhancing digital citizenship among female students. Using a quasi-experimental design, the study involved a control group and an experimental group. One assessment tools were employed a test measuring digital citizenship concepts. The sample group of the research consisted of (53) female students, with results indicating significant differences between the experimental and control groups in post-test scores for digital citizenship concepts, favoring the experimental group. Moreover, significant differences were found within the experimental group between pre-test and post-test scores for digital citizenship concepts, favoring the post-test results. Recommendations include further research to explore the effectiveness of similar interventions across primary and secondary education levels and advocating for the integration of values systems in digital citizenship development
