Abstract

The research aimed to use the " IEN Ethraia " channel in teaching the "quadratic functions" unit in order to improve the academic achievement of third-grade intermediate students in the Second Intermediate School in Al-Ras Governorate, and to determine the appropriate method for employing the " IEN Ethraia " channel in teaching mathematics, and the procedural approach was followed.
The researcher and the third-grade intermediate students participated in the implementation of the procedural intervention, and four procedural interventions were applied to an experimental group of 20 students and a control group of 23 students to compare their results with the experimental group. The research tool consisted of four post-tests conducted after four teaching experiments, namely: teaching using the " IEN Ethraia " channel before the lesson, or as a teacher, or as a teacher's assistant, or as homework, and comparing them with the usual method.
The researcher also used two observation and interview cards to benefit from them in the reflection processes. The study concluded that teaching using the IEN Ethraia channel had an impact on improving the academic achievement of the participating third-grade intermediate students, when used as a teacher's assistant and before the lesson. The research concluded by presenting a practical proposal that can help in employing the " IEN Ethraia " channel to improve the mathematical achievement of third-grade intermediate students according to five stages. In light of these results, the research presented a number of conclusions and reflective observations related to the employment of the " IEN Ethraia " channel in teaching mathematics.
