E-learning is considered a type of education in educational institutions, especially during the Corona pandemic sweeping the world at the beginning of the twenty-first century. Since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, Hail University has shifted from face-to-face education system that depends on the presence of students on campus to adopting the e-learning system through educational platforms and technologies prepared by the university in advance. The adoption of e-learning enabled students to benefit from multiple sources of information. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, there is a complete system of e-learning and teaching in all the educational institutions, which has provided students with multiple learning resources and environments. With this spread of e-learning and teaching which is student-centered, many questions must arise about the outcomes of e-learning and the challenges facing faculty members in managing this type of education. The study sample consisted of (75) male and female faculty members at Hail University from various colleges of the university. The study used the descriptive approach, which relies on collecting information about a specific phenomenon through a questionnaire.
The results showed that faculty members at Hail University have sufficient skills to deal with e-learning platforms. The results also showed that faculty members at Hail University have a high consensus on the effectiveness of e-learning to communicate with students, especially during the Corona pandemic. However, the results did not show any material obstacles during the activation of e-learning with students. In this context, the results showed the presence of obstacles represented by the weakness of training and qualification received by students at Hail University during the pandemic.
