Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of employing digital education in developing the achievement motivation level of secondary school students from their perspective in light of some variables. The study used the descriptive method and relied on a questionnaire to collect data. The questionnaire was administered to a sample consisting of 732 male and female secondary school students, distributed according to the variables of (gender/specialty). The results indicated that the employment of digital education has a significant impact on developing the level of intrinsic (self) achievement motivation among secondary school students from the perspective of the study sample. Additionally, the results showed that the employment of digital education has a significant impact on developing the level of extrinsic (social) achievement motivation among secondary school students from the perspective of the study sample. Furthermore, the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample attributed to the gender variable, nor were there any statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample attributed to the specialty variable. The study recommends working on providing the material requirements (devices and infrastructure) and moral support (motivation, a supportive culture, and a suitable environment) necessary for employing digital education through the assistance of the private sector. Expanding the training of students and teachers to acquire the required skills (software used, digital thinking skills) to apply digital education at the secondary stage is also recommended. Finally, the study suggests utilizing digital education to encourage students to achieve and continue learning to achieve the required outcomes
