The aim of the research is to identify the reality of leadership skills among high school female students in the light of the development strategy of the Asir region, as well as to identify the obstacles facing the development of their leadership skills and to identify the mechanisms for developing leadership skills among secondary school students. It also aims to identify the requirements for developing leadership skills among female students. Secondary schools in the light of the Asir region development strategy. A simple random sample (representative and appropriate) was selected from the research community, numbering (92) participants. The descriptive approach was used, and the basic research tool is an online questionnaire Google Forms For the purpose of achieving the objectives of the current research, the researcher adopted four axes: The first axis: demographic data, the second axis: the current level of development of leadership skills, the third axis: obstacles to the development of leadership skills, the fourth axis: requirements and needs for the development of leadership skills. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: Leadership skills are unique to special training by female educators. Students get the opportunity to participate in organizing events and events in the school. Students get the opportunity to vote on some decisions of interest to the school. Students accept active participation in leadership skills development activities. The research recommended the following: Concerted efforts by the family and the school to educate students about the concept of leadership skills and its importance And work on preparing training and qualifying workshops to help students with leadership skills. Expanding the implementation of student activities aimed at developing leadership skills that are approved based on the desires and aspirations of female students. Regularly hosting human development and leadership skills managers for female students’ lectures. Adopting training workshops in leadership skills and their role in raising the level of leadership among female students.key words: Leadership skills - Requirements for developing leadership skills - Asir region development strategy.
