Simplified Explanation and Key Findings:
This research compared the levels of psychological stress experienced by female students in border and non-border schools in the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia. The study found that:
Higher stress levels: Female students in border schools generally experienced higher levels of stress in various areas, such as school-related stress, family relationships, friendships, financial concerns, and future uncertainties.
Statistical significance: The differences in stress levels between the two groups of students were statistically significant, meaning they were not due to chance.
Specific dimensions: The most significant differences were found in stress related to school, family, friendships, finances, and future plans.
Ranking differences: The ranking of stress factors varied between the two groups, with the most notable difference being in the financial dimension, which ranked higher for students in non-border schools.
Overall, the study suggests that female students in border schools face greater psychological stress compared to their counterparts in non-border schools.
Potential Reasons for Higher Stress Levels in Border Schools:
Limited resources: Schools in border areas may have fewer resources, leading to increased academic pressure and challenges.
Social isolation: Students in border areas might experience social isolation and limited opportunities for extracurricular activities.
Security concerns: Living in a border region can create additional security concerns and anxiety.
Economic challenges: Families in border areas may face economic difficulties, which can contribute to student stress.
