The educational role of the GLOBE environmental program in light of the goals of Islamic environmental education: A field study on the female teachers and supervisors of the program in the city of Riyadh.

  This study aims at clarifying the reality of the role of (Globe environmental Program) in the light of objectives of Islamic environmental education, from the point of view of teachers and supervisors of the program. It also aims at revealing the obstacles that face the public education diurnal schools when applying the program and mentioning some suggestions that may help activating its educational role in the light of objectives of Islamic environmental education. And The researcher uses (descriptive and survey approach) in this study while the questionnaire is its tool to collect data, and This study is limited to poll the points of view of the public education teachers of diurnal schools and the supervisors of Globe. Environmental Program about the students who participate in this program, and the entire number of them is (153) teachers and (2) supervisors.  As a result the society of the study is (155) which represent the sample of the study as well. The results have shown The study sample members agree to a large extent that the program motivates students to know the environmental fields and develops positive attitudes towards environment, The study sample members agree to a large extent that there are some obstacles facing applying Globe environmental program in the light of objectives of Islamic environmental education.  Some of these obstacles are: having many teaching burdens for teachers, weak advertising for the program, weak awareness from the students toward environmental education, and weak awareness of the relationship between Globe environmental program and Islamic environmental education. Teachers and supervisors agree to a large extent on all of the results of the study like: Having training programs for teachers to be responsible of applying Globe environmental program, The program affirms the Islamic values that call to protect environment, Spreading awareness of the importance of this program among students and motivating them to take part in it, Spreading awareness of the relationship between the program and Islamic environmental education.
