The current paper intended to determine the skill requirements for enhancing the performance of academic leaders at King Saud University through the lens of an entrepreneurial approach, focusing on the dimensions of strategy, creativity, competitiveness, and risk-taking. To accomplish the research objectives, a descriptive survey approach was adopted, while a questionnaire was designed by the researcher to be the data collection tool. The study's sample was (155) academic leaders at King Saud University, including (deans, vice-deans, department heads, and their deputies), drawn through simple random sampling from a population of (259) individuals. The findings indicated that the participants highly agreed on the skill requirements for the development of academic leadership at King Saud University, with an overall mean score of (4.60 out of 5.00). The dimensions were ranked in the following order: strategy, risk-taking, creativity, and competitiveness. Based on the findings, the study recommended integrating entrepreneurial leadership skills into academic leadership development programs. Key suggested skills included strategic planning, creativity, future foresight, and competencies related to risk and crisis management
