Abstract

This research defines developmental program evaluation as a modern model of evaluation, its theoretical foundations, and principles. It compares traditional and modern program evaluation models. It also explains the differences between developmental evaluation and traditional evaluation. In addition, it explains the types and purposes of developmental evaluation, its advantages, and the programs to which it is applied. It also explains the stages of developmental evaluation and the most important studies that have applied developmental evaluation to educational programs and development projects. It also presents a practical example of an educational program to which this evaluation was applied. Finally, it concludes with conclusions and recommendations.
