Abstract

Abstract:
Women and their developmental role have gained considerable attention both locally and globally due to their vital position in society. A society cannot achieve its goals and aspirations for progress and prosperity if half of its potential is inactive and does not contribute to nation-building. Since its emergence, Islam has emphasized the importance of women, preserved their rights, safeguarded their dignity, and granted them equality with men in rights and responsibilities. Saudi women have attained many of their rights, enabling them to participate alongside men in achieving sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Today, Saudi women are scholars, leaders, and active contributors to society. The development of Saudi society and its social institutions is a shared responsibility between men and women. Therefore, this study sheds light on the developmental role of Saudi women in social institutions in Light of Vision 2030. It explores their developmental contributions, the status of women in Islam, and the dimensions of their role within social institutions. Additionally, the study highlights the challenges faced by Saudi women in fulfilling this role and provides suggestions and recommendations to further support and enhance their contributions.
