Objectives: The current study aimed to examine the correlational relationship between academic procrastination and life satisfaction, to determine the extent to which academic procrastination predicts life satisfaction among a sample of Kuwaiti university students, and to reveal differences based on gender. Method: This study was conducted on a sample of 253 undergraduate students, consisting of 141 females and 112 males, aged between 18 and 30 years. The Academic Procrastination Scale developed by Khadijah Khamis (2021) and the Life Satisfaction Scale developed by Diener et al. (1985) and translated and standardized by Ahmed Abdel Khalek were applied. These tools demonstrated high validity and reliability coefficients. Results: The results indicated a negative correlation between academic procrastination and life satisfaction. Statistically significant differences were found attributed to the academic level between the average scores of students on the Academic Procrastination Scale, favoring first-year students, and on the Life Satisfaction Scale, favoring second-year students. No significant differences were found attributed to gender in the average scores of both academic procrastination and life satisfaction among the study sample. Conclusion: The importance of implementing preventive and educational programs to address high levels of academic procrastination in order to enhance life satisfaction among university students.
