The study aimed to identify the role of job rotation for female school principals in improving the organizational climate in Secondary Schools in Riyadh. Specifically, it assessed the impact of job rotation on leadership, organizational justice, organizational culture, job satisfaction, and professional development. In addition, the study sought to uncover the challenges facing the implementation of job rotation in improving the organizational climate from the perspective of secondary school teachers.
The study adopted the descriptive survey method and was conducted on secondary school teachers under the supervision of the Al-Olaya Education Office. According to statistics from the Riyadh Education Department for the academic year 1446 AH, the total number of teachers was 331. A simple random sample of 178 teachers participated in the study. Data were collected through an electronic questionnaire, which served as the primary data collection tool.
The findings revealed that the perceived contribution of job rotation to improving the organizational climate was rated as “agree,” with a mean score of 4.06 and a standard deviation of 0.90. This indicates that participants recognized the positive role of job rotation in enhancing leadership skills, ensuring fair task distribution, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, increasing job satisfaction, and supporting professional development. The study also identified several challenges that hinder the effective implementation of job rotation, with a mean score of 3.65 and a standard deviation of 0.90. These results suggest that unstructured or poorly planned job rotation practices may lead to various obstacles that limit its potential benefits for the organizational climate.
