The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a behavioral cognitive counseling program in reducing the severity of psychological stress and improving the level of self-confidence among students who stutter in primary school. To achieve this goal, the researcher selected a sample of stuttering children in primary school who suffer from negative psychological stresses, and a low level of self-confidence (20) students in primary school in the age group between (12:6) years, all of whom are males from the Governorate of Alexandria with an average age of (7,10) years, and a standard deviation of (1,09), and the experimental approach was used, and the researcher used the stuttering scale (preparation: Mona Tawakkol), the psychological stress scale for children (preparation of the researcher), the self-confidence measure for children (preparation of the researcher) and the counseling program was designed Suitable for the problem of research (preparation of the researcher), and using appropriate statistical methods such as descriptive statistics represented by standard deviations, the Wilcoxon test, the size of the effect with the Eta² squared equation, the results of the study resulted that: There are statistically significant differences between the tribal and dimental measurements in the scores of primary school students in the direction of the tribal measurement of psychological pressures and the remote measurement of self-confidence, and there are no statistically significant differences between the two dimensions and consecutive measurements in the scores of the scaling students in the primary school. From the above. The effectiveness of the guidance program has been measured to reduce the severity of negative psychological stress and improve the level of self-confidence in stutter children At this age stage.
