The present study aimed to examine the relative contribution of coping skills and marital communication patterns in predicting marital quality of life among married individuals in Jeddah. The sample consisted of 206 married men and women residing in the city. Three standardized instruments were used: the Coping Skills Scale developed by Al-Nassar (2025), the Marital Communication Patterns Scale by Manshi (2023), and the Marital Quality of Life Scale by Bukhari (2021). The results revealed no statistically significant differences in coping skills attributable to gender or length of marriage. Similarly, no significant differences were found in marital communication patterns based on gender or duration of marriage. However, statistically significant gender-based differences were found in marital quality of life, favoring males. Furthermore, a moderately high positive correlation (r = 0.630) was found between coping skills and marital quality of life, while a lower moderate positive correlation (r = 0.405) was found between communication patterns and marital quality of life. The combined predictive value of coping skills and communication patterns for marital quality of life was 0.430, indicating that these two variables together explained 43% of the variance in marital quality of life among married individuals in Jeddah.
