The study aims to identify the extent to which Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing female students possess self-determination skills in adolescence, and to reveal statistically significant differences in the extent to which they possess these skills, which are attributed to the variable of the degree of hearing loss (Deaf, and Hard-of-Hearing), the educational environment (AlAmal Institutes for the Deaf, and Integration Schools), and the educational stage (middle school, and high school). This study follows the descriptive analytical approach; The community consists of all 120 Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing female students in the middle and secondary levels in Jeddah Governorate in Saudi Arabia. A random sample of 96 female students was selected. The researcher used the questionnaire as a quantitative tool for the study. The most prominent results of the study were that it showed the extent to which Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing female students possessed self-determination skills during adolescence, as they achieved a high score, as the general average was (2.35), and an approval score (always), with a standard deviation (0.65). The results also showed that the extent to which they possessed the skill of independence during adolescence appeared to a high degree, as the general average was equal (2.52), and the degree of agreement (always), with a standard deviation (0.60). The study also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the extent to which they possess self-determination skills in adolescence, attributed to the educational stage variable in favor of secondary school students. The study recommended the need for parents and teachers to pay attention to holding specialized workshops and in-service training courses for teachers and parents, to raise their level of awareness of what self-determination skills are, how to train in them, and their importance.
