Calibration Items of Positive Social Behavior Scale Using Item Response Theory for students of the college of Education

Abstract

 
This study aims at using Item Response Theory in constructing Positive Social Behavior Scale and calibrating their Items according to their difficulty levels . It also aims at dropping the bad items. The sample of the study consists of ( 500) students from the Faculty of Education , Damanhour University from the four different study groups studying in Arabic, In the  academic year 2021 - 2022, The instruments of study Positive Social Behavior Scale prepared by The Researcher. The study depend on the statistical programs Winsteps, and SPSS . The findings of study revealed that It was possible using Rasch model to calibrate  the items of  group emotional intelligence scale , after  eliminating bad persons and items, The final version of the positive social behavior scale were valid and reliable.
