A proposal to developing the performance of guidance and counseling supervisors in the education administration in city of Riyadh in light of the digital transformation

The study aims to present a proposal to develop the performance of guidance and counseling supervisors in the education administration in the city of Riyadh in light of the digital transformation, by identifying the reality of the guidance and counseling supervisors’ performance in light of the digital transformation, detecting the obstacles that limit the development of their performance in light of the digital transformation, and determining the requirements to develop their performance in light of the digital transformation. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey method was used in addition to the questionnaire as a tool that have been applied to the overall study population of (78) guidance and counseling supervisors in the education administration and education offices in Riyadh. The study reached various results, the most significant are the following:

The reality of guidance and counseling supervisors’ performance in light of the digital transformation from their point of view had an average score
The obstacles that limit the development of the guidance and counseling supervisors’ performance in light of the digital transformation from their point of view had a high score
The requirements to develop the performance of student guidance and counseling supervisors in light of digital transformation had a high score
There are statistical differences between the average responses of the study subjects regarding the reality aspect, in favor to the higher supervisory experience levels. In addition, there are differences in the requirements aspect, in favor to females, those with a bachelor’s degree, those with higher supervisory experience levels, and those with more courses in the field of digital applications
