Evaluating the Master’s program in Curriculum and General Teaching Methods at King Khalid University from the perspective of female graduates in light of proposed criteria

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the Master’s program in Curricula and General Teaching Methods at King Khalid University from the perspective of female graduates in light of proposed criteria. To achieve the research objectives, the descriptive survey method was used, and the researcher developed a list of proposed criteria and applied them to a sample of (40) female graduates of the Department of Master of Curricula and General Teaching Methods at King Khalid University during the past five years (1439-1443 AH),. The results indicated that the level of availability of the proposed standards regarding the program themes: (goals, plan, content, teaching methods, evaluation methods, faculty members, student and research services, and Scientific supervision) .In general, the results came with a high score, except for the scientific supervision criteria ,which came with a moderate score. In light of these results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: reviewing the program’s objectives, using various teaching methods by faculty members, urging students to use technology and benefit from its advantages, paying attention to office hours by faculty members, and reconsidering some aspects of scientific supervision . In conclusion, some suggestions were presented regarding developing the program and conducting further studies on it.
