The current study aimed to deduce the expected role of education in achieving social empowerment for women in general in Egyptian society, and not only for female students affiliated with education. The study used the descriptive approach by analyzing the concept of women’s social empowerment, its components, principles, and levels, as well as analyzing the factors affecting women’s social empowerment, and extrapolating and analyzing the reality of the Egyptian state’s efforts to achieve women’s social empowerment. The study arrived at some expected roles of education. In achieving the social empowerment of women in Egyptian society, in addition to some necessary mechanisms to help education perform these roles. key words: Social empowerment - the role of education - women
