Abstract

Shame is one of the deep feelings in a person’s emotional makeup and has an e //her behavior. Therefore, it is among the educational questions related to how education can be consistent with a person’s emotions and feelings and how it can be relied upon to achieve better education. This study discusses one of the important theses about shame in moral education, which was presented by the Saudi thinker and poet Hamza Shehata in the 1940s in his book “Masculinity as the foundation of Virtuous Character,” which still arouses the interest of researchers. The paper concludes that sheme/modesty is a deep existential stance and a close connection between man and the world, which makes moral responsibility the primary driver and precise guide for man in all his relationships, and thus makes human existence a moral existence par excellence, and this is a fundamental goal of education
