Abstract

This study aimed to examine the role of digital leadership in enhancing organizational innovation and achieving competitive advantage from the perspective of high school principals in the Asir region. A descriptive research methodology was employed, utilizing a questionnaire for data collection. The sample consisted of 102 high school principals from the Asir region, categorized by their qualifications and years of experience. The results indicated that digital leadership played a significant role in promoting organizational innovation across its dimensions (administrative, human, and technical innovation), with high scores in all areas. Similarly, the role of digital leadership in achieving competitive advantage across its dimensions (quality, creativity, and the school’s organizational environment) was also rated highly. The findings further showed that the challenges limiting the application of digital leadership in enhancing innovation and achieving competitive advantage were minimal. Additionally, statistically significant differences were found in the responses based on educational qualifications, with those holding a Master’s degree or higher outperforming those with a Bachelor's degree. There were also significant differences based on years of experience, favoring those with more extensive experience.
