Abstract

The purpose of this study was Investigate the degree to which the values were included in the content of secondary school Biology textbooks, and revealing secondary school students’ acquisition of those values. The study followed the descriptive content analysis and the survey descriptive method. The study sample consisted of a Biology textbook (3) for secondary school students in Saudi Arabia and (330) female secondary school students who are studying Biology textbook (3) in third grade (credit hours system). A content analysis card and a biological value scale were prepared. The results revealed that the inclusion of biological values in the content of Biology 3 for the third year of secondary school is very low in general, and it appeared from these values by a rate of 4.40% explicitly, and it appeared from these values by 1.19% implicitly. The results showed that the level of secondary school students' acquisition of the biological values included in Biology textbook is very high. This study recommended including biological values in biology textbooks.
