"The Effectiveness of Qur’anic Maqra’ahs in Teaching the Qur’an and Its Sciences: A Field Study on the Challenges Faced by Female Students at King Saud University"

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the role of Quranic Maqraa in teaching the Holy Quran and its sciences, and the difficulties facing female students at King Saud University.. The survey was applied to a sample consisting of (250) female students from King Saud University. The results of the first question of the research showed that the role played by the Quranic Maqraa in teaching the Holy Quran, and its sciences to the female students at King Saud University came with an (extremely high) degree. As the total average for the first question was (4.221). The Quranic Maqraa teacher ranked first among the other areas, where the arithmetic mean for the question was (4.351). The results of the second question related to the difficulties faced by the female student enrolled in the Quranic Maqraa showed a (weak-moderate) agreement, where the general arithmetic mean for all the phrases of the areas was (2.556). The results of the second question indicated that the first difficulties facing the female student enrolled in the Quranic Maqraa are "Deficient in advertisements encouraging people to join the Qur'anic Maqraa" this phrase ranked first with an arithmetic average of (3.297) and a medium degree of approval.
